The United States Women’s National Team are the reigning World Cup Champions and they will be defending their title in style after the release of BOTH new kits. The 2019 World Cup team will feature a white kit and a red kit. The Men’s National Team will also add the red kit to their repertoire.
To begin we have some gorgeous, clean, all white uniforms. The thick red and blue collar and sleeve trim is the main focus of this jersey and it brings out the white even more. Usually I’m a fan of a solid color number but I love the slight red trim here. Even the Nike symbol being red was the perfect choice. It’ll be hard to find a better kit in the Women’s World Cup this summer.
Like I said, the USWNT won the 2015 World Cup so with both of these jerseys, peep the crest with the updated three stars to represent the three World Cup titles.
We knew the women would have a colored kit and Nike decided go with a vibrant red and it paid off. The big feature on this top is the American flag worked into the design of the actual jersey. Nike has done this with a handful of club kits and has found a unique design that they should continue to run with.
Overall, both these kits are fantastic. Both better than the current selections in the respective colors for sure. Maybe could have added some blue to the collar on the white kit but other than that I really have no complaints. Frame both of these jerseys and lets hope the women bring home another World Cup this summer.
